A dendritic agate ring, fabricatedin 18k yellow gold by the designer Gabriella Kiss. This gate has a serene presence— itis figured with feathery, red-brown plumes that appear frozen, mid-sway, inside its clear, chalcedony field. The agate is held in a smooth, low-profile, closed-back bezel that perches atopthe ring’s slender, fully-round shank. Because this gemis set overa thin slice of white material (mother of pearl?), the dendrites cast beautiful shadows, which add much to the scene’s already wonderful visual depth.
